The joys of sandcastle making

Digging holes is fun!SandcastleBucket And Spade

My friend’s three year old and I got absorbed in a bit of digging in the sand last weekend. We built sandcastles on a grand scale, dug moats and made little sandcastles near the tideline to watch them being washed away. While doing this she invented a rhyme to shout at the encroaching waves every time they got one of our sandcastles…

Ha ha ha, naughty sea,

Ha ha ha you won’t get me!

…which was accompanied by much posturing and brandishing of spades.

Naughty Sea!!!

She’ll make a pirate yet.
