Giving some blog love to…

I’m not here enough really, am I? One post per week if you are lucky; I want to give my blog more love, but somehow it just gets squeezed out by the predictable daily grind. I feel like I am always swooshing by, waving and calling a hurried “helloooo, must dash!” from the other side of the street.
As a result my blog friendships are somewhat sparse, although no less fun for all that. The blogger I always have to check whenever I’m online is Anonybird of Bird Anonymous. Here I am in midwinter London, the freezing grey clouds touching the roofs and the garden reduced to sodden matchwood, but by paying Anonybird a visit I can be in an Australian summer garden, watching and listening to the birds and learning something new every time I visit. With beautiful photographs, writing that makes each bird come to life and a deliciously ribald sense of humour, I am always amazed at how so much good stuff gets crammed in to this prolific blog. I am impatient to discover the identity of this bird, which I am convinced is a common starling, but I will have to wait until Anonybird reveals the truth. Always lots of fun, always something to learn, Bird Anonymous has been a favourite read from the start.

I was also convinced Mini was a Common Starling until seeing those WATTLES! Which right now I’m imagining to be a bit of skin the little bird just needs to grow into HAHA 
Actually, the experts are stumped and I think it will be the Bird Anonymous Blog Readers who will be officially identifying Mini in the Poll! Still four days to investigate until the *AHCHUM* ‘truth’ is revealed 
Yaaaay! I just saw the results of the poll – I KNOW Mini Minor was a Starling! It was the voice and the subtle, pretty juvenile plumage wot did it
Sad that they are a pest over there – lots of people over here don’t like them either, and this is where they belong
Hope mini soon finds her flock, a lone starling is a sad starling.
By the way, I’m replying here as for some reason I’m unable to write a comment in your blog – first I was unable to get my name linked, then I couldn’t leave one at all. I’d better check out how blogger handles comments, I’m probably just doing something stupid…
Hhehheee, yes Mini Minor (now Mini Star – ling) is a Starling! There is a flock VERY close by, Bird and I’ll visit there when over the flu (was meant to this morning).
Blogger is changing the way people comment. I tried to see whether your blog is either LiveJournel, TypeKey, WordPress but couldn’t figure it out. Do you have an OpenID, AOL/AIM or Google account? If not, I’ll see what I can do to change who can comment now.

This blog is wordpress, but it’s a self published one, not a wordpress.com one. I’m about to go and visit you again anyway, so if one of us can work it out I’ll say hi!
