Is that the time?

Thank you for visiting The Birds In The Meadow. You are on hold; although your visit is important to us my clothes rail just collapsed, I have that phone call to make to the bank and even if the sun is shining outside and I’d rather be cutting reclaimed wood into beads, I have to go through the ten years worth of admin records that are gathering dust and taking up so much room in my tiny flat that I can no longer get in safely through the bedroom door. Normal service will be resumed whenever the hell we/I/whatever can fight our way through the sordid slew of never ending backed up chores and defeat the terrible creeping sense of ennui that said chores are spawning. In the meantime, here is a picture of a butterfly. Enjoy!

Pretty butterfly! Sorry about your recent crisises!
@Thanks Lana, there were clouds of them flying on that day. And as to my crises, they are not so bad honest – I just express myself a little too vividly
Actually life is pretty good, if a little crowded
I luaghed out loud over this!!! The fenzied explantion of everything that has to be done and then the last line. “In the meantime, here is a picture of a butterfly. Enjoy!” I hooted over that. LOL
On a more serious note I realized that this post is REALY good for me because I have laundry piling up, the car to take to the mechanic’s, cleaning to do, summer clothes to put in the storage shed and winter clothes out, my toenails need trimming (you think I’m joking) I’m NOT!!!
And so much paper work to sort that I tempted to burn it all. BUT in “all my creativity”
it never occured to me that I could simply put up a post telling everyone what I had to do and then slap a beautiful butterfly up there and say in the meantime look at this!!! LOLOLOLOLOLOL
I love it!!! I love it! I love it!
This is a great post that gives me permission to soon take a much meed break so that I can get some work done in my “real” life. LOL
Thank you so much.
Hugs,
R
PS By the way, the butterfly is truly gorgeous!!! It really is. I’ve never seen one like it. And it’s an astounding photograph. So clear; the colors as breathless in the most soft way. An unusal blue.
Wow, “ennui”. I think I popped over here today just so I could read that word. It’s my word of the day, now- so imminently appropriate for me right now. Whew.
Oh, and good luck!
@Robin, I think you should go cut your toenails right now – while soaking in a lovely hot bath with a glass of wine or whatever you prefer and your sweetie on hand to feed you grapes
I’ve given this whole entire week over to chores – I’ve had no choice – but I think if that’s how it is and you are in this too, it’s our duty to do them as creatively as possible and make them fun. Yes, fun! That’s an order.
P.S:- glad you liked the butterfly, I had an idea that it was like music they play on the telephone when you are on hold – you know – “The Four Seasons” or something like that. “Please hold the line… here, have a butterfly” would be better than Vivaldi on a loop any day.
@Kit, I’m sorry to hear you are fighting ennui too. We have to fight this one together! I’m thinking maybe a bonfire of all the non recyclable stuff in my admin files… it can’t happen soon enough, and sadly I have to do all my filing properly first. Sigh. Hope your own battle goes well
Hi Bird.
… I know what you mean – here I am, looking at your butterfly (did you take it – its beautiful) and all my unmade chores circle around me like Hamlet’s Ghost multiplied.
