The Cloths Of Heaven

Filed under Blog, Skywatch Friday

Had I the heavens’ embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

William Butler Yeats

    Oh my gosh Bird…that is simply beautiful! What gorgeous colors and cityscape! Am so glad you joined…SWF people are great and such an appreciative audience. (BTW, thank you so much for the mention—that reminds me that I haven’t mentioned the person who turned me onto SWF—I will do so!) Have a nice weekend! :o )

    @Ramblinground:- Thank you! It was very colourful, I don’t think I did it justice :) BTW, I can’t comment on your blog because of your security settings so I’ll say it here… nice Autumn colours in your pic!

    @Mary:- Thank you, I took the photo and the poem was by W B Yeats so I can’t take any credit there :) I thought the sky matched the poem though, and it was far prettier for real.

    @Gwendolen:- Thank you! It was so spectacular, far lovelier in real life. Hard to get those ever changing colours!
