A male Broad Bodied Chaser dragonfly perches above the sky’s reflection on Tottenham Marsh Pond. You can read more about how I came across this beautiful insect in the previous post, Here Be Dragons.

That reflection of the cloud adds the certain something to this.
Lovely!
Thanks Nicole! I hadn’t noticed the sky reflection in the picture till I uploaded it to the computer – it was a nice surprise
Very cool reflected sky photo..and of course lets not forget about darling dragonfly!
Thanks..very nice!
Cheers Dawn!
Lovely reflections, and of course, lovely dragon!
Thank you Wren, it was a real beauty!
Bird, magnificent capture. This is some interesting dragon fly. Just the other day I witnessed a bird bumping into one, unfortunately the dragon fly only got wiped out, lol, but recovered. Anna
Wow Anna, seeing a midair collision must’ve been something else! glad to hear everyone was ok afterwards…
Very innovative approach to the theme.
Thanks prkl!
Dragon flies are so wonderful because they take eat every mosquitos in sight. Your photograph includes reflections, dragon fly and sky. You have an amazing “eye.” Good job!
Joyce
Thank you Joyce! But I have to admit… I only noticed the reflection after the picture was taken
Dragonflies are fearsome predators and anything that eats biting insects is good in my book!
How nice that the dragonfly was able to take part in SWF…a beautiful sky there in your pond, Bird!
Hi Holly! Yep, I was really happy when I saw that reflection… I knew I was going to have to save it for SWF!
Oh Bird, how I love that photo! Very nice how the color of the water has modified the color of the sky, unless of course it was a particularly brown day…
Thank you James! I could tease and say that it was a particularly smoggy day… but you are right, it’s a newly dug pond and the water is still a little muddy
