The Birds In The Meadow is a nature blog, a crafters show and tell and a shop selling handmade green goodies galore. It’s the work of one woman and a labour of love! I write under the name of Bird, and apart from writing and taking far too many pictures I am also an artist and crafter. For many years I assisted with and occasionally led nature walks and environmental art projects for children in London and sometimes beyond; a challenging and incredibly satisfying way to make a living. Now I make recycled objects and reworked and upcycled jewellery to sell,  write for the love of it and squeeze out an occasional decent photo from my point ‘n’ shoot camera. I believe very strongly in my work being as environmentally friendly as I can make it, and use salvaged, vintage and recycled materials throughout.
